The new Atlas Headquarters replaces the existing office building on the site from circa 1970. A warehouse is seismically separated from the new retail and amenities on the ground floor, with offices and a staff terrace on level one that leads to a roof garden above the warehouse. Level two includes the boardroom, additional offices, and room for future growth. The roof hosts solar panels on both the office and the warehouse for sustainable electricity generation..
I was the Project Lead from the tender stage through to completion, serving as the Engineer’s Representative under NZS3910. As Bossley Architects were also the project managers, my responsibilities included all project management functions, such as coordinating payment schedules in consultation with the project QS, and managing client and contractor relationships throughout the process. I also led the coordination of the wider team of secondary consultants to ensure seamless project delivery.
